LATE REGISTRATION FEE'S NOW IN EFFECT
Submitted By James Beard on Tuesday, August 1, 2017
Unfortunately, you have missed the early registration, and the regular registration timeframes . All registrations are now considered LATE REGISTRATIONS, and as such are now subject to the late registration fee. Please be aware that late registrations (after August 1st) is now be subject to a $200 late fee.

QUESTION: Why was a $200 penalty added for late registrations?

ANSWER: Every year SLT minor hockey finds a group of members register at the last minute. These late registrations cause problems that effect everyone - which just isn't fair. Some of the logistical problems caused by the late registrations are:

  1. Ice time is booked in the summer and added participants means more ice is needed and this is not easily accomplished;
  2. The association also needs to book specific numbers of teams with OMHA (Rep and TC), and when the participant numbers change we have to adjust the numbers with OMHA and we lose money;
  3. Extra last minute participants means more teams which means more coaches and trainers need to be found last minute;

The $200 penalty was added to curb late registrations.
Notifications about the late registration fee were posted on our site March 3, June 27, July 6, July 20, July 27, and verbally at the awards night and the AGM.
