The Sturgeon Lake Minor Hockey Association: History The Sturgeon Minor Hockey Association is a result of a successful amalgamation between The Bobcaygeon Minor Hockey Association and the Fenelon Falls and District Minor Hockey Association. Although partners in this new organization these two teams were storied rivals with over 40 years of history and each brought with them a very successful program that has resulted in a very strong and successful new team organization known and feared as The Sturgeon Lake Thunder. The benefits of the amalgamation have already been seen with a very strong Rep. Program, a very popular initiation program and most importantly offering kids the ability to play at a level commensurate with their respective abilities. We look forward to completing our inaugural season with many victories both on and off the ice.
