On Sunday Feb. 13 the Sturgeon Lake Thunder U18 is planning to host a special Pink in the Rink game to raise funds in support of cancer treatment and research.
The Thunder will take on the Douro Dukes at the Fenelon Falls Community Centre.
At present Sturgeon Lake Minor Hockey is unable to know if the game can be played at all, and if it can be played, it may be with severe restrictions on the number of spectators allowed in the building.
However, with the Thunder spirit of determination and perseverance, the donation and silent auction portion of the event will now move on-line. This will allow the community to have a chance at winning one of the jerseys and other items and support the fundraising effort, even if the teams cannot compete.
