Hockey Fights Cancer fundraiser--Feb. 13
Final preparations are underway for the Sturgeon Thunder U-18 OMHA Hockey Fights Cancer fundraiser game this Sunday, February 13th in Fenelon Falls.

Players and coaches from both the Thunder and the Douro Dukes are looking forward to playing the game in front of their families and event sponsors.
Due to restrictions on the number of spectators allowed in the rink due to Covid-19 health guidelines, tickets for the general public are unfortunately not available for purchase.

However, if you were thinking of attending the game, but cannot, the teams ask that you consider supporting the event by either making a donation via the team page on the Canadian Cancer website (tax receipt issued immediately) (http://support.cancer.ca/goto/thunder2022) or take a look and make a bid on the items up for auction on the SLMHA website. (https://sturgeonthunderhockey.ca/Auctions/2878/U-18_OMHA_Hockey_Fights_Cancer_Fundraiser/).  The bidding will end at midnight February 13th!  100% of all funds raised will be donated to the Canadian Cancer Society.

By supporting our Hockey Fights Cancer event, you are providing hope to thousands of people affected by cancer. Your generosity will fund innovative research, provide vital support services to cancer patients and help change lives.

So far, the response has been fantastic, with donation and auction bids increasing daily.  Lets go Thunder fans!!  In these last few days before the event, let’s help the boys in their fundraising efforts and push the donation totals over the top!!
