Your Sturgeon Lake Thunder U-18 OMHA team is raising funds in support of cancer treatment and research. The team hopes to play the Douro Dukes in a charity Hockey Fights Cancer game on February 13th (pending the status of COVID-19 restrictions). We all know someone who has been affected by cancer. It is estimated that 27,700 Canadian women and 260 men were diagnosed with breast cancer in 2021. Approximately 1,200 men were diagnosed with testicular cancer in the last 12 months. The Canadian Cancer Society is a national charity that supports all Canadians living with all cancers across the country.
